We have had season passes for years and enjoy going here. In general the vertical and distance is compareable to quite a few places in Michigan. The real skiing issue is just snow or more correctly put Ohio weather. However, it is the best place in Ohio. The terrain park is top notch. They do alot with what they have.

The bar desperately needs updating. They need quite a few wide screen TVs, better bartenders/waitresses, and improvement on the menu: wings, mozorellas sticks etc.. It's almost impossible to watch a sporting event in at Mad River; the TVs are so bad.

Overall, for what Ohio has this is the best place and that is my criteria. I am not comparing it to Colorado or something like that. Also, Mad River is very racer friendly. This is the Columbus Ski Club's race team home base, which by the way is ranked 8th in the nation in the Nastar circuit(Columbus Ski Club).
