Comparing this resort to any other in Ohio... Madriver is deffinetly the best one! I go up every weekend and have been basically every weekend this whole 09'-10' season. I'v been snowboarding for a few years now and Madriver has been my top choice to go to. Perfect North is it's biggest competetor and there shouldn't even be a debate on choosing the better ski/snowboarding resort... Madriver Mountain is a deffinite! Here are just a few reasons why Madriver is the best: It's higher above sea level and is taller than Perfect North which means its colder and its also further North, meaning that they accumulation of snow is alot more than where Perfect North is located. Resulting in better skiing conditions. I mean if you have the choice to go to alright conditions: P.N.... or great conditions: Madriver, arn't you going to choose the better conditions for your skiing experience??... I say YES. Since Madriver is always colder than P.N., Madriver can blow more snow using their snowblowing machines, resulting in yet again.. better conditions. Madriver has a great night life and entertainment for all ages. It caiters to family's, but also teenagers and adults.... something that other resorts do not. Just about every weekend, there is something going on. Whether its the "Louie Vito Railjam" (an Olympic contender for the 2010 Olympics and someone who grew up and learned how to snowboard at Madriver), another of the many railjams that go on throughout the season, races of all kinds, a band playing or rapper preforming, or even just hanging out in the upstairs lodge playing pool or having a drink at the bar with your bud's, there's always something fun to do. And have i mentioned the Terrain Park: CAPITAL PARK??? It's an amazing terrain park that is a whole run long (not just a little area like at P.N. or other resorts) that really caiters to the younger crowd that i belong to. There's mutiple jumps (some begginer and some advanced), many rails and box's and alot of other obstacles that make skiing and boarding exciting, edgy, and fun! I love going there and really hope you enjoy it. Maybe I'll even see ya up there sometime... ohh, I forgot to mention: everybody is super nice there and you'll meet tons of really cool and talented people there!... But i actually have to go because I still need to pack and guess for whattt?!... Madriver!.. yuppp ill be there all weekend, can't wait! The season is almost over so hurry up and get your chance to have a blast and finish up the winter season will a bang at Madriver Mountain and Capital Park!! :)
