small, overpriced, poor grooming, crowded,
Where should I start, The only two redeming aspects of this resort is their excellent snowmaking capabilites, and joe rider lounge/bar, cold beer and awesome deli sandwiches. The cons are many, For one it is absurd cost for lift tickets, Its not a mountain its not a resort, its a glorified sled hill. I don't understand the mountain resort prices. It also can get very crowded especially when school ski clubs start up. The best time to go is early first runs on the weekdays by noon its starts to get to crowded. That brings me to another gripe, They need to do mid-day grooming. Small resort + lots of skiers/riders = lumps, bumps and ruts all over, by 3pm. the entire hill is one big mogul run. it is such a small place in about twenty min. they could groom a run, thats not much down time per run. and then at least you would like your getting your monies worth. My advice save your money and go out west I would recommend Fernnie Mnt. resort in B.C.
