Sunday was rough, but thats Jay. the Flyer and Tram are susceptible to wind holds. I really just think a lot of you dont 'get' Jay. they have the lowest ticket price of any major VT mountain for a reason. They dont have services and amenities on par with the Okemo, kill, stowe mts, nor do they have as many cats or snowguns. what they have is better terrain with more natural snow than any of those mountains. its all about the weather, which in the ne kingdom is very variable. conditions at Okemo were terrible on Sunday whereas Jay had 6-8 in of fresh and packed powder that no one could ski after noon due to the holds. its a risk reward mountain.

Cannon is for those beginner riders. No question Stowe's vertical drop is best in the East.

i agree with other post. sunday was not worth the trip. you couldn't get to the top &lines sucked. mondays conditions cold but good packed powder. a few wind swept icy spots. but hey you could ski the mountian top to bottom.

Oh, thats right. You could'nt ski the rocks today. You were in DC at your boys inauguration. hahaha It's ok the rocks will be there tomorrow for you. You keep on practicing. You'll make it down the bottom without falling some day.

Jay is a powder mountain. They have the mark, natural snow is what matters! I bet there will be people complaining if it dumps two feet as well. If you want to be pampered and have excellent grooming and snow making, go to Okemo. If you like powder, watch the forecasts and go to Jay, Jackson, or Steamboat

to all you people complaining about how bad jay is. do your honework. Jay is a monster mountain after good snowfall. which they get more than any mt on tge east coast. They never claimed to have great snowmaking. You all went up during the worst weekend of the year. deal with it. i was up there 3 weeks ago, they got 15 inches and I was up to my waist in deep powder. best skiing in years for me. you gotta hit jay at the right time. know that.

traveled 4 hours for lower mountian skiing?! 20 min. wait @lift for a one minute run is very disappointing. 2 lower lifts operating yesterday. went in for a bite to eat at alices table. with all the employees hanging around you'd think there would be good service. Nope. they dont know their menu or beer and even ammenities of the resort. appetizers served w/no plates- plates arrived 10 min later by different employee when asked, he probably didnt know where to find them. i think employees shuffle around to make themselves appear busy & not the nicest people. no one was smiling. maybe you should hire from the hospitality field not the farming fields. newer and clean appearance to all the restaurants though...back to skiing. if they had good snow making &grooming i'm sure we'd actually get to ski! Jay is sub par skiing. it was windy, so no summit for 2 days. hoping monday -upper mtn lifts will open. we should have gone to NH with newer fast lifts & snow making. Jay your missing the mark. we like the waterpark but we came to ski.

the bad thing about jay peak is their snow making and grooming operations are sub par and they rely on natural snowfall too much. other resorts hit with the recent warmth quickly got their trail count back up. not jay peak, though.
