Firsthand Reports

Mt. Shasta Ski Park +

The runs were a perfect mix of groomers and powder. The weather was better than anticipated however the visibility was low. Awesome day to ride and plenty of snow left for a long season.

Nice day yesterday. A little fresh powder on ungroomed runs. Clear until afternoon when storm came in. Not too crowded considering holiday wwwwwrweekend.

Lousy conditions and only a few lifts open, not 11 as shown in the app.

new snow throughout the day in the upper mountain. colder in the afternoon and rain became snowing at the base. overall poor visibility. wind not gusty enough to warrant a Headwall closure, seen worse condition in Mammoth's Cornice/Climax with all sorts of sickness.

Forgot to add one thing to previous post. Outstanding tree skiing. Can casually cruise through spaced out tress or challenge yourself on steeper, tighter terrain. Sierra has it all when it comes to tree skiing.

Great day at Sierra. Morning was outstanding with a fresh ~6 inches. Snowed at end of day so they should be in good shape the coming week. This was my first visit to Sierra and enjoyed. Only complaint would be express lift lines taking long (it was Pres Day weekend however). Plenty of other lifts but not high speed. Very manageable size mountain where you can ski the whole thing in 1 day. I would highly recommend for families with beginners since terrain is not overly challenging.
