Lots of snow, but most trails that would usually be groomed were not, tracked out and difficult to ski. Wind was terrible near the peaks, Cornice and Wall were an exercise in how much ice-pelting-your-face pain can you stand. One of the worst days of skiing that had so much potential to be awesome. Backside not open. SR-88 also closed mid day and had to drive up to Reno and down 80 back to Bay Area. Awful.

Don't come. Management is awefuk. They don't open terrain. Locals that have been coming here for years are moving away. Amazing terrain, if they would allow you to ski it. Head to a vail resort. At least they know how to run a mountain.

10:30 am on bluebird day. No headwall, no Siberia, no granite, no emigrant. Typical Squaw.

Heavenly totally socked in this afternoon. Visibility limited to 15 to 20 feet. In the words of a ski patrol veteran: "good conditions to break a leg).

No exaggeration definitely a huge dump of deep wet powder overnight. unfortunately Vail Associates we're not prepared and most of the mountain is closed. Comstock lift didn't open till 1 o'clock. The back side and Lookout Mountain remain closed. This deep powder is a challenge to ski in if they don't open the steep Terrain. it should be killer this weekend.
