That's it for the season. Decent, immediately following the 5", but bad the following day. I don't recommend coming to Northstar again this year.

Runs are perfectly groomed, the dusting was an added bonus . Conditions are perfect on the runs that are open , couldn't ask for better skiing in March . Yes a tiny tiny bit slushy at the bottom , but that can happen on a warm day in February. Shocked at how good it was !!

Awesome day. Snowing on and off all day on the upper mountain. Fresh powder in the morning turning into packed powder in the afternoon.

@patrick sorry but if we don't get a storm early April then No, in fact I would be surprised if resorts are still open at all. If you haven't bought your pass yet then keep an eye on Mt Rose as that is the highest resort around here. Head to Colorado maybe instead or bring your hiking gear here.

What's open is fine. Nice groomers. Just do your skiing early and have a late lunch. Got mushy in the afternoon. Had a great time. Zephyr Lodge is great.

It's not that bad, you just need to look for great runs. Try hiking 10 mins and you'll have a solid experience (and that was before the recent snow!)

Patrick: I'm sorry to say this but, barring a massive snow storm I don't believe so. There will be less open if anything. A lot of resorts have shut down in the past week. It is really heating up in California. The highs in the valley are like 70-80 degrees. I'm sure big resorts will be open, but hardly.

Milky way bowl trees were untouched today so the pow was all mine!! a few inches in their on top of soft pack so turns were great. And it snowed on NV side from 1pm till close.

Pretty good conditions...considering the limited amount of runs open...doubt snow will hold up much longer

North Star was good today, not a lot of runs open, doubtful snow will hold up much longer though

That's it for Northstar, if it's this slushy messy after 3 to 5" & snowmaking I can't see them lasting much longer! Not with 60° weather at end of week!

I'm going to Lake Tahoe in about 2 weeks. Will the snow hold up at the resorts and will a good amount of runs be open???
