Anyone out there that would like to comment on the snow quality so far? I use to be a local, cut many of the trails in the woods years ago. Coming back for a taste of the beast. Was a front runner in casting a trail to Coopers Pooper/hut and have skied the backside into Rutland. If you hear someone yelling COOPER on the mtn, it is me or one of the old gang....respond back cooper and let's smoke the mtn.
2 bluebirds in a row now, groomers are good with wicked wind throughout the day. Wind blown pockets of fresh snow constantly maintaing the groomers. In the sun the snow becomes pretty slushy but soft still. Going of groomers still not recommended. Looking foreword to the sun tomorrow!
Tip to Erik and anyone else not enjoying the back bowls - ungroomed snow sucks in the mornings unless there's a foot or more of new snow. On sunny mild days like today try them after 1 pm and you'll have a blast!
