Winds have died down at Mt Baker after a blustery week. The mountain is conducting normal midweek operations out of the White Salmon Base Area after a powerful early winter storm ripped through the area, closing several Washington resorts for a time but leaving behind some of the best snow conditions locals have seen in a long time.
