    Big storms floating over Utah provided a happy opening day for Snowbird. The 35th season began with natural and machine-made snow in Gad Valley with the Gadzoom, Mid-Gad and Wilbere chairlifts serving 17 runs.     Improving their uphill capacity by almost 50-percent to its most popular slopes, Marquette Mountain, located within the city limits of the UP's Queen City, has replaced the old front-face double chair with a new triple, improved its terrain parks and added a new kid's play area at the top of the Tyro lift, complete with a ski-in/ski-out fort and slides.
