    Phew. Heavy sigh. The snow is back. There was a bit of a lull between storms and a few folks were nervous! But now the ground is again covered in white, with storm after storm in the forecast up until the holidays. Resorts are managing with the help of Mother Nature and snowmaking machines. Full Article

  • Blue Mountain Runs its Six

    They're skiing at Blue Mountain, Penn., but that's not to say the mountain wouldn't like a little more snow under its guests. Blue currently has four lifts serving 13 runs, with everyone skiing on a 24-inch to 36-inch base. Full Article

    "We are so excited to have such a fantastic launch for the Rogers Terrain Park" said Tim Hyndman, Sunshine's Terrain Park Supervisor. With oodles of snow, Sunshine couldn't help but have a jamming opening last weekend. Full Article

  • Waterville Second in NH to Open

    Waterville Valley opened this past weekend with skiing and riding on intermediate and advanced terrain only. They became only the second area to open in New Hampshire this season as the winter so far has seen unseasonably warm temperatures. Snowmaking has allowed the area to open the White Peak Express Quad and the High Country Double for skiing on just one upper mountain trail at this time. Full Article

  • Massanutten to Open Dec. 8

    Harrisonburg, Virginia's Massanutten Resort has started making snow in preperation for its 2006/07 winter season. The area plans to open Friday Dec. 8 and will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for skiing and snowboarding. Full Article

    Blakeslee, Pa's twin resorts, Jack Frost/Big Boulder are putting out the welcome mat for Old Man Winter. Big Boulder started to spin Dec. 5 and Jack Frost is preparing for a Saturday, Dec. 9 opening day. Full Article
