Pros : Nice little valley/resorts, friendly locals and good value in resort.
Good ski hire shop (Ski Set), friendly and very helpfull staff. Crystal rep very good.
Mostly modern, fast lifts, with no ques. Terminion ski area very good (when pisted), this is a small part of area at start of valley, with about 8 blue and red runs.

Cons: NO GOOD FOR BEGINNERS, most greens very narrow and a bit twisty, no good for learning to turn etc. No real traditional wide beginners slopes.
Most blues narrow and twisty, not really confidence gaining slopes for beginners/early intermediates.
Poorly groomed pistes. At most 50% groomed to a decent standard at any one time.
SKI SCHOOL VERY POOR. They don't really teach you technique, they just lead you down increasingly difficult slopes in a snow plow. Very bad for begginers. My wife and daughters group dwindled from 6 on the first day, to 3 on the last. All beginners felt "teaching" was very poor.
Resort spoilt by a lot of dog muck and cigarette butts on the streets, on the lower pistes and around accomadation.

Not a bad resort for intermediate sikers (like myself) and above but there are far better resorts in my opinion. On the whole I would not recomend Val Cenis to anyone and will not be going back there.
