Boreal is small, very crowded in the weekend, and the runs are not only short, but are also poorly marked. Furthermore, there were no interesting runs, and in order to reach some of the runs, you'll need to traverse flat, if not slightly uphill, terrain. Some people say that its a good place to learn to ski, but that is not the case. Beginners need a safe environment with few crowds and many good, long trails to practice there turns. Boreal has none of those to offer. AVOID THIS PLACE if you can; go to nearby Sugarbowl instead.
