Barely, if at all, is the area open from the top. Never seen 100% of mountain open, making it an area for beginners only. Fire damaged one of their chairs a few years ago. They never fixed it. Head to Sugar or Beech for adequate skiing.
Close to Asheville
Seldom open from top, lack of adequate snowmaking

Thought it was joke upon arrival. Definitely no Olympic slope. Slope consists of a mole hill. You will be lucky to make it all the way down. Unbelievable. I gave 1 star simply because I couldn’t give 0. Incredibly generous on my part. I spent more money ubering to and from my hotel than it was worth. Don’t waste your time.

Unlike other nearby stockholder held ski resorts that seem to milk you for cash at every turn, Wolf Ridge is a family-owned Ski Resort with a easy going Southern Hospitality feel. Easily accessible from Asheville and only 15 minutes off I-26, the resort is small but well planned and the conditions are very typical of Southeastern skiing. The snow making is excellent and the trails are laid out very well. Probably the most perfect location for a ski slope in North Carolina, nestled in a valley and largely protected from the wind, the mountain is well laid out and the trails make good use of the 700 foot vertical. Best for beginners and intermediates, experts should probably look to Salt Lake or Denver anyway.
Easy accessibility, helpful staff, well planned trails make good use of limited vertical.
This is southeastern skiing after all..

It's great

I'm just learning to snowboard so never made to advanced slopes. Main slope is very nice with 1 or 2 little kickers. Nice people. Great view. Only had 1 lift open the day I was there. I will definitely be returning. Very reasonable lift ticket pricing. Put me on skis and I can give better reviews on advanced and expert slopes.
Great place considering its location
