Ok for begining ski
Marginal ski center for travelers
The Wolf facility is accessible for Deep South ski seekers even though you have to go into a private community to access the base facility. To my surprise Wolf has been in operation for a number of years (20+). Although a certified binder is on location, outside of a scant clothing line and a few snowboards, the ski shop offers little more than your local department store. The upper lodge is the Wolf showcase but has only bare necessities. Food service is basic. Lodge activity is confined to sporadic offerings outside of a place to get in out of the cold or purchase lift tickets. Road conditions in and out of the area are acceptable. The rental structure is very basic and organization is scattered. Staff professionalism needs review. Facility cleanliness and sanitation is lacking. Organization on the slopes is haphazard and crowded conditions could prove to be unsafe. There are rental cabins with some really surprising views of the surrounding area. If you are traveling and looking for the overall thrill of entertainment, activity, and sport supported by a professionally organized plan implemented by skilled and knowledgeable staff, you will find the Wolf to be a little rustic for your taste.
