Full review

Just got back from a weekend trip with 30+ church middle schoolers and we all had a great time. We chose Wolf Ridge because it was closer than App, Sugar, or Beech. We skied Saturday 9-4:30. We arrived around 8:15 am. The staff got our group through orientation, rental, and to classes within an hour! All the staff were great, including the lift operators who were always there to help the fall downers. The trail conditions were what you would expect for this type of winter in NC. And there were many trails open of varying degrees of difficulty. It did get crowded midday, though, but not prohibitively so. The resort is fabulous, the cabins are great, the views are cool, and the kids had a blast in the indoor heated pool in the evening. It was a very successful trip. Thanks Wolf Ridge. Yea, I would love fresh powder and western slopes but . . . And yes it probably wasn't as crowded as on their busiest days. But lets keep this little jewel our little secret.
