I am a racer at beech. And I am up there every weekend. and the snow there is great but on the weekends it gets dangerous. so if you want to avoid the long lift lines go early in the morning then leave once the crowds start coming in

Woops, high speed was broken, running but at turtle speed, middle doubles were faster! Wish they get that thing going like it was built for...

Lifts broken last Friday? How'd me and my crew get in 20 runs top to bottom then? And that's with 2 bar breaks and a piss break.

High speed quad down today going on at least a few hours now. Machine groom and crunchy when fresh. High traffic spots VERY loose granular. Oz run still open for now. A few bare spots here and there.

The "high speed" quad runs literally at 1/3 speed even when lift lines are 45 min. The other lift to the top needs every other chair empty. Very disappointed

Sugar was great today, for MLK weekend, it was not packed at all. All made snow obviously, it's NC, but by far the best mountain in NC. Great powder with a few ice patches towards the end of the day, overall a great day on a great mountain.

Nice day. Trails are in decent shape considering the lack of natural. Not too crowded either. Well worth the drive from Charlotte.

What a day, early fresh powder, well groomed and blue bird sky, can't ask for anything more. There was powder all over the top of the mountain even though a little crowded, thank for a great day CAT staff!!!!

We are not expert skiers, but we think Sugar has more challenging trails than other NC ski resorts. We skied Wednesday and Friday after a little snow, and it was great. A large contribution to how much we enjoyed ourselves on the slopes was the great rental equipment that we rented from Ski Country Sports in Banner Elk. The guys there made sure that we had comfortable secure equipment that was the right size for each and everyone one of us, six of us skied or snowboarded. Their equipment, prices, and service combined for multi-day rentals were the best! Thanks so much to Bill, Mark and Chris and everyone at Ski Country Sports!
