i love the wolf (season pass holder) but lets just say the management has been um, well...'lacking' and 'short-sighted' the last several years. would be great if someone competent would take over. being a season pass holder for multiple years if i wanna say something bad abt the wolf then i will. i support it financially but nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade.

Hard to believe that anybody have any snow left after all of that rain.

that's right. you can't be a snow snob and live down here. be grateful for every day any condition that you get

"great place to stand in line but not for boarding." so you're tellin me you went skiing on the busiest weekend of the year in north Carolina and didn't expect long lines? every resort is like that over MLK weekend and I can guarantee that the lines at cat are better than sugar or beech.

Did some night skiing Sunday. grass poking through everywhere, completely bare in some spots and enough rocks to see sparks off the people in front of me.

cant believe they charge so much for so little. Was my first time skiing out east this weekend. Not worth the $65 lift ticket for sure.

Went to sugar on monday. Trails were crowded, lift lines were short and the cover was surprisingly thin. Lots of red snow and rocks. As usual, they blew snow all day and it was annoying. Expected a better base, but was still fun to make some turns

Was at Beech on sunday. Crowded, with long lift lines and very little open. Really only 2 trails from the top, with lots of rocks amd thin cover. Way too many people for the acreage open

Conditions can be icy even if the air temp is above freezing. The snow pack is is below freezing and can sustain icy conditions. Simple science.
