Full review

We had planned to spend the majority of our vacation (Feb 9th-12th) at Beech because of their great prices but the conditions on our first afternoon were so horrible that we did not come back for the rest of our session on our twilight tickets. The bottom beginners section was literally a pond of water and slush. We read the websites of all 3 resorts (Beech, App, & Sugar) each day before we headed out and the conditions were supposed to be identical to Sugar (which we had visited the day before) and had certain expectations of the snow conditions. We were disappointed that there seemed to be way less snow and more ice and dirt. I felt like we got what we paid for with out tickets being half priced and the conditions being under par. We decided to spend a little more for better conditions elsewhere. If there had been more snow I am certain our experience would have been more positive. Appalachian is our hands down favorite.
