    Great for learning

    Pros: Great ski school for young kids, excellent snow making equipment

    Cons: crowded on weekends

    We are heading back to Cat for the 2nd year in a row. We like that it's close to Maggie Valley which makes for a fun family trip and its drive time... Full review

    Close to the Big Cities of the South

    Fun

    Pros: Cheap during the week

    Cons: sloped had iced

    Loved Cataloochee. The black diamond slopes weren't awful. I actually liked them the best of any other slope. If you can go during the weekday I would advice it. It's much cheaper... Full review

    Learning to ski was fun

    Pros: Excellent teachers. My two sons can ski in one day!

    Cons: Can't think of one.
