At first, Meredith's job involved more traditional public relations work like pitching stories to print journalists. As the media landscape has evolved, so has Meredith's day-to-day work. Now her iPhone is always close at hand with much of her time spent telling the Aspen/Snowmass story through social media channels - whether that means responding to questions posed on Facebook, hyping local athletes on Twitter, or snapping powder pics for Instagram. - ©Jeremy Swanson

Sure, Meredith enjoys all kinds of skiing, the groomers, the steeps, the bumps, but nothin' beats a powder day (like this one on Aspen Mountain). - ©Jeremy Swanson

Meredith knows all the off-the-beaten-track spots like Uncle Wiggly's Glades, seen here. Her familiarty with the resort's four ski hills allows her to take journalists on a tour of Apen Mountain shrines, scout the perfect spot for a commercial shoot for an LA-based film company, or find fresh powder even after a few days of sun. - ©Jeremy Swanson

After nearly 10 years of riding Aspen/Snowmass, Meredith has her kit dialed. Her go-to ski is the Blizzard Dakota and Helly Hansen is her choice for outerwear, topped off by a Smith Helmet and eyewear from Smith or Oakley. She also likes to keep it local in her choice of poles with Aspen-based Bold Poles. - ©Jeremy Swanson

"Sometimes I ask myself if its time to move to a big city. But, Aspen has the culture and the nightlife of a city," says Meredith. "And it also has these great outdoors with hiking, biking and skiing. With all that, there's no place I'd rather be."
