Amie pauses for a minute atop KT-22. She says, “Any day with snow on KT is a good day, heck I like to hike up to McConkey's in the summer. Shane McConkey is my ultimate inspiration. I adore the time I get to spend with his wife Sherry and their beautiful daughter Ayla. Shane's legacy lives on through them and the Shane McConkey Foundation.” - ©Weston Walker

While Amie’s mom went into labor in the world-famous Wildflour Baking Co. Cookie Shop, her dad was competing in an extreme skiing comp on The Fingers at Squaw Valley. To this day he has a line named after him (Engerbretson’s). The first time Amie road KT-22 she was four and as Amie recalls, her dad “kicked her off the edge and hoped for the best.” To this day it’s her favorite lift she’s ever skied. - ©Weston Walker
