It is very important to think of training in terms of anatomical balance. While it might be common to hammer out some push-ups or hit the bench press, the pulling muscles of your back are very important for shoulder stability and good posture. Chin-ups are an easy way to include upper-body strength training during the busy competition season. Upper-body strength in your arms and back is imperative for skiers as they help to push off with their poles and stablize your shoulders.
