Ski or ride at Southeast Michigan’s Alpine Valley and enjoy not only weekday discounts but a planned viewing party to honor two U.S. Olympic team hopefuls who grew up on the slopes here.
Olympians Danny Davis (halfpipe) and Karly Schorr (slopestyle) are the homegrown stars. He will shine on Tuesday, Feb. 11, while Schorr finished 6th in the finals on Sunday.
Feb. 11 at Alpine happens to be its weekly ladies day, when women enjoy 15 percent off day skiing. Then head to the viewing party in the upstairs lounge to watch the halfpipe competition. Skiers and boarders ages 65 and over also enjoy the same discount each day, while men get the reduced rate Wednesdays.
