Fly into the Salt Lake International Airport on any commercial flight during the 2013-14 season and convert your airline boarding pass into a half-price lift ticket at Alta-Snowbird. Valid any day of the 2013-14 winter season, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, the Boarding Pass program lets skiers save up to $39.50 per lift ticket just for forking over their boarding pass.

The single-day lift ticket is valid at both Alta and Snowbird, connected by a mid-mountain resort entrance, and serves up a hefty 4,700 acres of Little Cottonwood delight. While snowboarders can’t cash in on the Alta portion of the lift ticket, the Boarding Pass program drops the price of a full-day lift ticket at Snowbird to $52.50 (adults) and $34.50 (children 12 and under).

Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance of your flight departure and can be done by filling out a few pieces of information. Once on the ground, present your boarding pass and photo ID at any Alta or Snowbird ticket window within 24 hours of your arrival to receive your lift ticket.

A note to remember: electronic boarding passes aren’t accepted, so be sure to print (and keep) an extra copy of your airline ticket.

Visit the Alta or Snowbird website for additional rules.
