Seven Springs Mountain Resort is the 2013 OnTheSnow Visitors' Choice Award winner for Best Park & Pipe in the Mid-Atlantic. Seven Springs features seven terrain parks that cater to various ages and skill levels, including over 70 freestyle features in total. Seven Springs is also home to "The Spot" Olympic-sized superpipe and the North Park Halfpipe. In addition to the other six terrain parks on the mountain, Seven Springs is home to "The Streets." The Streets at Seven Springs is a park dedicated to urban snowboarding, offering rails, ledges, gaps and wall rides that pull inspiration from the nearby city of Pittsburgh, Pa.
LEARNING/PROGRESSION PARKS: The Arctic Blast is an area dedicated to helping skiers and riders learn how to ski transitions, and is filled with small rollers, boxes and bank turns. Santa’s Beard is the beginner park and features mini jumps, jibs and bonks. Seven Springs also opened the Burton Pirates Riglet Park in February, designed to introduce children as young as 3 to snowboarding.
ADVANCED TO EXPERT PARKS & PIPES: The crown jewel of the Seven Springs park scene is The Streets, a terrain park that pays homage to urban snowboarding. The Spot terrain park is home to the area’s biggest jumps and features and can be found in the Alpine Meadows region of the mountain.
