VallNord, Andorra

Good for families looking for excellent ski schools on sunny slopes.

Due to its low alcohol prices and lively nightlife, Andorra has something of a reputation as a ski party destination that dates back to the 1980s and 1990s. However, in recent years, its resorts have been concentrating on raising the quality of what they offer at all levels while at the same time capitalizing on a little known strength—very high quality ski schools.

In fact, Andorra’s ski schools, which employ mostly English-speaking staff from Australia and New Zealand as well as Brits, have a particular reputation for teaching young children with ever improving snow gardens—protected nursery slope learning areas in the Arinsal and Pal sectors for children aged three and older.
