Crans Montana Opens New Five-Star Hotel; From CHF850

Crans Montana, in Switzerland's Valais valley, has just opened a new five-star hotel.

Le Guarda Golf, which belongs to the Leading Hotels of the World Network, is the first five-star hotel in the area to open year-round. New and novel, this luxurious oasis marries contemporary design and typical alpine style.

With its 600-square-metre spa and dream-inducing rooms crafted of only the noblest materials, a most exquisite stay awaits guests. The spa, carved directly out of the mountain, is comprised of a bubble bath, a sauna, a hammam, and four beauty treatment cabins. Hotel prices start at CHF850 and include entry to the spa.

Crans Montana hasn't however forgotten to offer a more budget-friendly option for frugal skiers. For those who wish to enjoy Valais skiing without spending too much on accommodation, it offers the new Auberge Lago Lodge.

The lodge is open all year long and invites guests to settle in to one of its four rooms, each decorated with chic, colourful taste. Rooms can sleep from one to 10 people. The Inn is located on the ground floor and offers a beautiful view of the Grenon Lake and les 4000 des Alpes Valaisannes.

Prices vary according to the number of guests but start at CHF95 for a lone skier. Group rates are lower.
