Starting Monday Nov. 2, snow has been dumping down across France, Austria, Switzerland and Italy, with up to 43cm of fresh snow over three days.
The Mont Blanc ski resorts of Chamonix and Argentiere saw 40cm of fresh snow. Similarly, the Grand Massif ski resorts of Samoens and Morillon saw 40cm.
More than 30cm also fell over three days in the leading French resorts of Les Deux Alpes, Alpe d'Huez, Val Thorens, and Les Arcs.
It's still only possible to ski on the glaciers in France: the Grande Motte glacier above Tignes saw 10cm of fresh snow in one night, but Les Deux Alpes' glacier is now closed until Nov. 28.
Austrian glaciers also enjoyed heavy snowfall with a massive 43cm on Soelden and 22-31cm on Pitztal, Stubai, and Kaprun. All the Austrian glaciers are open, but visibility is bad due to heavy snow.
The Swiss resorts of Klosters and Davos saw 40cm over three days. The glaciers above Saas-Fee and Zermatt are both open for skiing and saw 25cm of fresh snow.
The Italian resorts of Madonna di Campiglio and Passo Stelvio also enjoyed 21-31cm of snow, but won't open until December.
