Alberta's Lake Louise, Mt. Norquay, Sunshine Village and Marmot Basin ski resorts are already open or opening soon. You can take an early trip and be the first on the slopes this winter.
Tour operator, Canadian Affair has a seven-night holiday to Banff staying at the Ptarmigan Inn for £569 per person, departing Nov. 17, 2009. The trip includes room-only accommodation based on two sharing, economy fights to Calgary and return airport/resort transfers. Alberta recommends that for the best offers you book early and benefit from tour operator early booking offers. You can also save by buying a ski package which provides lift tickets, tuition, and rentals all in one - this will save both money and time in resort.
In resort, opt to use local transport - consider if you need a rental car as both Banff and Jasper have excellent transportation systems from hotels to the slopes. Look out for meal deals in resort. In Jasper both the De'd Dog Bar and La Fiesta run great après ski happy hours and Cassio's Trattoria offers a popular three-course special. In Banff, Tony Roma's, Saltlik and the Spaghetti Factory all run regular promotions. Look out for free live music on offer in many bars.
