Fall at Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford, Mass., means season passes are on sale, available at $50 discounts until Nov. 15 when the price rises to full season rates.
The Unlimited Season Pass, valid for unlimited skiing day and night seven days a week through the season costs $550 until Nov. 15, then goes up to $600. Nashoba also offers an additional $50 off each additional pass. For example, the second Unlimited Pass bought now costs $500; the third, $450; the fourth and subsequent, $400. Those prices also go up after Nov. 15.
Other passes are available for various age groups, and for a variety of ski times and days.
Skiers and riders who plan on picking up passes at the area should think about timing their visit to hit Witch's Woods, Nashoba's annual tribute to Halloween. The event transforms the family owned ski area into one of the biggest seasonal celebrations in southern New England.
Witch's Woods operates Thursday through Sunday nights through Halloween, with a gala costume ball that night for partygoers 21 and over. The Woods offers a Haunted Hayride, Castle Morbid, Nightmare Mansion, and 3D Keeper's Crypt. Tickets are $27 for adults, $25 for children 12 and under. Groups of 15 or more pay $17 on Thursdays, $22 Fridays through Sundays.
Tickets are required for the main attractions, but Nashoba also offers carnival games, rides, concessions and a Jack O'Lantern Jamboree and Horrorwood Chamber of Chills, which people may enjoy without a ticket.
