Winterplace Discounts Season Ski Passes Until Nov. 16

Season passes for Winterplace in West Virginia are on sale with a 10 percent discount until Nov. 16. The resort is the southernmost ski area in the state.

The full anytime adult lift ticket is $539, compared to $599 if purchased by the deadline. Students and seniors pay $359 for a $40 savings. Juniors are children ages 6 - 12. Seniors are those 65 or older.

Midweek season passes for adults are $359 and $269 for juniors and seniors. Midweek is Monday through Friday. Night season passes for adults cost $249 and $157 for juniors and seniors. Night skiing is available every night although night season passes are not good Saturday. Night sessions run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.   

There is a $50 reprint charge for lost lift tickets.

Lockers also are available for the season at a 10 percent discount and cost $90. Seasonal ski rentals are $250 for adults and $135 for juniors and seniors. There is no discount on the rentals. Winterplace is easily accessible, located about two minutes off I-70. Its 28 slopes spill over 90 acres. About 85 percent of the terrain is classified beginner or intermediate. Resort hours are 9 a.m.to 10 p.m. midweek, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends and holidays.
