Mt. Rose has their Pink Slip unrestricted season passes on sale through September. The unrestricted passes have no blackout dates, so you can ski whenever snows dump - weekdays, weekends, or holidays.
The sale rates dance around low numbers of ones, twos, and threes. Children (6-12 years old) and super seniors (75 years old and above) pay only $111. Teens (ages 13-17) and seniors (ages 65-74) pay $222 for the pass. Adults pay $333.
The rates are valid through the end of September. Pass prices increase Oct. 1 to $599 for adults, $399 for teens and seniors, and $199 for children and super seniors.
Skiers and snowboarders who purchase the Pink Slip passes also receive a variety of discounts. The passes are good for 20 percent off Mt. Rose logo wear at 431 Sports and Apparel, or 50 percent off at the repair shop for those who need to start the season with a good stone grinding after putting a few divots in the bases last spring.
Passholders also get 10 percent off dining at Mt. Rose, and ladies can jump in a free clinic on Thursdays. Other discounts are available at local sport shops for free hot waxes, two-for-one tune-ups, and selected merchandise. Pink Slip passholders can also get deals on golf, athletic club admission, and waterpark entrance.
Mt. Rose Pink Slips are available for either new or returning passholders. They may be purchased online or in person. Opening day for the ski resort is scheduled for mid-November, weather permitting.
