 Spirit Mountain Offers New Season Pass Layaway Plan 

Recognizing the tough economic times we are in and that discretionary income needs to be spread around, Spirit Mountain is offering a new season pass layaway plan. Put $100 down per family towards your 2009-10 season passes and pay the balance off over the summer in three easy installments.

It saves you having to come up with a lump sum amount up front or having to put it on high interest credit cards. Your passes are paid off before the season starts and you're set to ski or ride next winter. It's the first layaway offer for a Heartland season pass that I've seen, and I think it's a great idea - especially in this economy.

However, don't take long to think about it. The offer expires March 31, and you must sign up for the layaway plan in Spirit's ticket office during regular business hours or by calling 218- 624-8523 or 800-642-6377. You can't sign up online.

An Introductory "First Time" Pass is $139 and an Unlimited Season Pass is only $179. Nordic Season Passes are $80, and a Family Nordic Pass is $180. You can add a Nordic pass on for $20, If you purchase an alpine season pass. You can add equipment rental all season, which includes shaped skis or snowboards, for an additional $129.
