OnTheSnow with you on the go.
Specialist French ski holidays by ferry tour operator Ski France is now offering short breaks at self-catering apartments with prices starting from as little as £20 per person for a three-night stay for the remainder of the ski season.
"Most short breaks for skiers are based at hotels and that pushes the price up," says the company's Phillip Morris-Simpson. "We can now offer three-night and four-night breaks at self-catering apartments which are not only ridiculously cheap but offer a lot more freedom."
As an example, a three- or four-night break in the resort of St Gervais starts at £20 per person based on six sharing an apartment on a room-only basis.
The same break with private airport transfers from Geneva costs £105 per person, and a complete package including Easyjet flights from Gatwick to Geneva and the private transfers costs £241 per person.
Short breaks at apartments are available in Les Menuires, Puy St Vincent, St Sorlin, Praz sur Arly, Super Devoluy, and St Jean d Arves as well as in St Gervais - all are in the French Alps. All of the areas have had good snow falls in recent months and are close to high altitude ski slopes if the spring sunshine does melt away snow cover after Easter.
Three-night breaks start on Wednesdays, four-night breaks start on Saturdays. The company also offers a full range of in-resort services from lift passes and equipment hire to ski school, as well as extras such as activities, child care and food packs.
