Discounted Packages Still Available In VallNord

THIS ITEM EXPIRED JUN 15, 2009
Discounted Packages Still Available In VallNord

VallNord in Andorra has a series of discounted packages on offer through the remainder of March.

The deals are based on the two-star Hotel Tristaina or the three-star Hotel El Serrat, at either of which a five night stay with a five day lift pass, including breakfast costs only 225.90 Euros. The offer is valid mid-week through March 27.

Andorra has made massive financial investment into its ski facilities in VallNord since the 1990s, which includes the villages or Arinsal, Ordino, and Pal, as well as the country's other resorts.

The villages of Pal and Arinsal were two separate resorts until the 2000-01 and, of course, they remain two separate villages. However, for that season, the two resorts and ski areas were linked and both resorts began to market themselves jointly. This was followed by another marketing merger with the Arcalis ski area (also known as Ordino). Together the ski areas became known as VallNord. They are the latest of many resort mergers in Andorra so that the country which once had ten or so fragmented ski areas, now officially has two ski resorts.

A five-out-of-six-day Ski Andorra ticket is available and is valid at all ski areas in the principality for those who want to ski all resorts in Andorra including lift linked Soldeu and Pas de la Casa on one ticket.

It's relatively easy to ski the different areas, especially if you have a car. The best base is probably the principality's capital, La Vella, but even if you are based at any one of the four main ski areas, you can drive to any other within 30 - 75 minutes, traffic permitting.

As the winter season comes to an end by April, the price of ski resort will be high at this season. But there are certain resorts that affords low-priced resorts with all inclusive ski resort package.
