Shanty Creek Offers Great March Special Packages

Shanty Creek, with its three villages and two ski hills, is offering some great packages and specials until they close right after the third weekend of March.

The Ski Free Package with rates starting at $99 is available midweek March 8-12. It includes lodging and lift for one day and night, but also allows you to ski the night of arrival beginning at 4 p.m. Up to three children, 12 and younger, ski and eat free when staying with parents.

March 13-15 is Irish Weekend when they honor all things Irish. The green beer will be flowing and so will the annual downhill Cardboard Classic Race down Schuss Mountain. Make yourself a sled and have plenty of green beer. You choose the order.

Tuesday, March 17, there will be a special St. Patty's Day Rail Jam on Schuss Mountain with live entertainment in the Lakeview Lounge and at Ivan's.

March 21-22 is the Last Weekend Luau with a spring carnival atmosphere. Events will include the infamous slush pond and lots of spring-like themes. Hawaiian shirts are optional, and there will be lots of food and drink specials all weekend long. Get out and enjoy, because Monday (March 23) the slopes will be closing for the season.
