Powder skier at Monarch, CO.
If there’s one thing that the cult classic movie Ski Patrol holds true to modern day, it’s that patrollers like to party. So it’s no surprise that Monarch Mountain’s Ski Patrol Party returns for its 28th year of fundraising, drinking and debauchery, all in the name of a good time and stellar giveaways.
This annual fundraiser and party benefits the Colorado Avalanche Information Center, which provides detailed reports of the snow conditions in the Colorado mountains to keep skiers and riders safe in the backcountry.
The Ski Patrol Party kicks off at 8 p.m. at the Boathouse Cantina in downtown Salida, Colo. and will jam on throughout the night to the sounds of Musketeer and Gripweed, two bands scheduled to perform at the benefit. A slew of prizes will be raffled off, and attendees can step up to spin the wheel for the chance to win more prizes and shwag.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $8 or $10 at the door, and $2 beer specials will be running all night long. For more information, click here.
