The weather is unpredictable. Even with the most advanced doppler and satellite imagery, forecasters' bets can flop at the last minute. Odds are, if you've spent any time in New England, you've heard a local or two utter the phrase, "Don't like the weather, wait five minutes." Same can be true just about anywhere, especially when it comes to predicting snow. But Sugarbush is just one of those places that always seems to get the goods.
The resort just experienced their third snowiest December on record, tallying 97 inches of snow in the last month of 2012 alone. Match that with some pre-Turkey day luck and they've seen a whopping 129 inches so far this season. Put in perspective, that's nearly the total expected annual snowfall for a handful of mid-atlantic resorts.
To celebrate, the resort is offering special lodging accommodations at ridiculously low prices.
Through Jan. 17, skiers and riders can enjoy slopeside luxury at Sugarbush’s Clay Brook accommodations from just $78 per person (based on quad occupancy, two adults & two youth, in one bedroom suite midweek). Complete with ski and boot valet service, outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, on-site dining and more.
Guests looking to be more frugal, can snag a night at one of the Resort Condos, complete with full kitchens plus a fireplace or woodstove, from just $49 per person (based on double occupancy midweek in Center Village studio condo). Choose from a wide selection of one- to four-bedroom town homes that provide easy (in some cases ski-in/ski-out) access to the mountain and Lincoln Peak Village.
