Wintergreen Season Pass Prices Increase after Dec. 2

The Blue Ridge Mountains are one of the most picturesque regions in the eastern United States. Known for their spectacular sunrises and sunsets, abundance of wildlife and, of course, killer skiing and riding in the winter months. Wintergreen Resort is among the top rated ski areas in the Mid-Atlantic, perched high above the surrounding valleys on one of the many vistas adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Best of all, they offer up a set of season pass deals as sweet as the views. With opening day quickly approaching, now is the time to grab a pass to Wintergreen, while they're at their lowest cost of the season.

Wintergreen's 2012/13 lineup of season passes are set to increase in price after Dec. 2.

Individual passes run $309 ($349 after Dec. 2). Wintergreen's student passes -- available for all scholars ages 6-23 (if over 18, college ID and proof of enrollment are required) -- are just $209 ($249 after the deadline). Parents with young skiers getting an early start on the hill have a pass deal all their own. The family pass includes four individual passes for parents & their dependant children. Additional dependant children passes are available for $189 each. Family passes are just $729 before Dec. 2 ($789 after that date). As always, kids 5 and under ski FREE when their parent carries a valid lift ticket.

All season passes are valid daily from opening day through Dec. 25, 2012 and from Mar. 4, 2013 to the end of the season. During peak season, Jan. 1, 2013 - Mar. 3, 2013, passes are valid Sunday (after 12:30 PM) through Friday night on non-holidays. Holiday periods are Dec. 26, 2012 – Jan. 1, 2013; Jan. 19-21, 2013; Feb. 16–18, 2013.

Additional perks for passholders include: $15 off the purchase of a lift ticket during times when passes are not valid. Friends who are new to the sport can come along any Monday through Friday to learn to ski or snowboard and save 20 percent on the Guaranteed Learn to Ski/Ride Program. Passholders who hit the road this winter can enjoy up to 50 percent off lift tickets at Jay Peak - VT, Okemo Mountain - VT, Wachusett Ski Area - MA, Holiday Valley - NY, Ski Windham - NY, Ski Liberty - PA, Ski Roundtop - PA, Whitetail - PA, Crystal Mountain - MI, Bristol Mountain - NY, Mt.
