The hills around beautiful Lake Geneva in southern Wisconsin are the first stop many Chicagoans head to for a quick getaway from the city, and as the temperatures drop, Lake Geneva’s “coolest” winter destination is kicking off its ski season with a special giveaway.

On Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2, the AAA Four-Diamond Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, will be gifting Facebook fans with free area tickets to The Mountain Top ski hill.

As part of the “Back to the Slopes” initiative, fans of the Grand Geneva and the Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark Facebook pages that have “liked” the page can print out a complimentary ticket to hit the slopes on the 18-trail hill, boasting a 211-foot vertical, all served by five lifts, including two rope tows.

When the slopes close, relax in the resort’s spa, while the kids head for the Timber Ridge Waterpark.

Extend your visit and take advantage of a special room rate, available for overnight stays on Dec. 2.

Now the fine print: The opening weekend ski passes will be honored, weather permitting. For more information on obtaining free area tickets, visit www.facebook.com/GrandGeneva and www.facebook.com/TimberRidgeWaterpark.

For additional details, call The Mountain Top team at 262-249-4726.
