Crested Butte celebrates the start of their 50th anniversary during the 2011-2012 opening day

When it comes to “ski free” deals, there’s often a catch. Unless you’re planning on visiting Crested Butte Mountain Resort on its opening day, Wednesday, Nov. 21. Continuing their popular opening day tradition, Crested Butte will offer free lift tickets for every skier and snowboarder for one day only. No age, height or ability requirements: Just 100 percent free skiing and riding to celebrate a new season.
Don’t stress if you can’t make it to opening day. Crested Butte love free skiing so much that they’re giving away lift tickets valid for the rest of the 2012-2013 season. From now through Nov. 21, Crested Butte Facebook fans are eligible to win a free lift ticket, with blackout dates of Dec. 24-Jan. 4, every day. Simply “like” Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s Facebook page, and you’re automatically entered to win.
If you require lodging, Crested Butte will also throw in free lift tickets when you stay at a participating property. Book the Ski Free with Lodging package through Crested Butte Vacations for a visit between Nov. 21-Dec. 19 and receive a one-day lift ticket per person per night of your reservation. A 48-hour advance booking is required.
