Mt. Ashland Gives Thanks To Its Neighbors With Discounts

Mt. Ashland likes to think of itself as a community ski and snowboard hill, where everyone in the Southern Oregon/Northern California region can feel welcomed and entirely at home.

The mountain is so ingrained in the area that in the early 1990s, when the resort was on the verge of going under, residents of the surrounding region came together to raise the necessary funds to save Mt. Ashland.

Mt. Ashland is offering reduced lift ticket prices on a regular basis to citizens of certain areas of the region in order to say thanks to all the faithful customers who have been visiting the hill over the past 45 years.

Residents of Oregon coastal areas around Coos Bay can save $5 off the regular adult tariff (which is $43 on weekends and $36 on weekdays) and $5 off on $29 junior and $35 senior rates for the period of Feb. 9-15, for instance.

Upcoming Community Appreciation Weeks are Feb. 16-22 and include residents of Roseburg and the surrounding communities; Feb. 23-March 1 for those skiers and snowboarders from the Northern California communities of Yreka, McCloud, Dunsmuir, Weed, Fort Jones, and Happy Camp; March 2-8 for residents Redding/Weaverville/Lewiston nexus of Northern California, and March 9-15 for the towns on the Northern California coast from Eureka to Crescent City.
