Climb on to the Lake Louise Coach in Calgary, and the advantages are many. Not only does someone else do the driving while you relax, but your lift ticket ends up costing less in the package, and you don't spend money on gas.
The bus departs from Calgary for Lake Louise Ski Area every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the duration of the ski season. The bus picks up skiers and riders from three locations in Calgary with a fourth stop in Canmore and arrives at the ski area at 9:20 a.m. It departs the resort at 4:15 p.m.
Catch the bus in Calgary at the Chinook Home Depot at 6:45 a.m., at the northeast corner of 4th Avenue and 3rd Street SW at 7:05 a.m., and at the COP McDonalds at 7:25 a.m. The bus departs the Canmore Radison at 8:25 a.m.
Adults boarding in Calgary pay $90. Seniors 65 plus and youths ages 13-17 pay $70. Children ages 6-12 cost $45. Adults, seniors, and youths boarding in Canmore pay $10 less; children boarding in Canmore pay $5 less. All rates include transportation and full day lift tickets.
Reservations are required for the bus. Make them in advance by calling the Lake Louise Coach at 403-477-0999. Reservations are taken Thursdays through Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.
