They don't require purchase by a deadline, so you can buy them when it suits you best. Adult passports cost $120, and juniors 12 year old and under with valid school ID may purchase passports for $60. Your nontransferable passport is a permanent pass that you show at the sales window each Sunday to get your ticket to get on the lift. Thursdays and Fridays are also great days for skiing at Maverick. The resort, which only opens four days per week Thursdays through Sundays, piles up untracked snow early each week. Thursday skiers get the freshies; plus, lift tickets on Thursdays and Fridays cost only $19. Those needing new gear can save money through Maverick's Ski Lease Program. Leasing a package of skis, boots, and poles costs $50 to $70, depending on the package. You just pop in the rental shop to pick up your gear every time you go skiing, but you get to bypass the rental line.
