Fun In The Snow Package Offered At Zell Am Ziller

Zell am Ziller has announced a "Fun in the Snow" package with seven nights in selected accommodations with breakfast or half board and a six-day Zillertal Super Skipass including chip card access to all cable cars and lifts in the Zillertal from 337 Euros per person. 

Zell's local skiing is lift-linked to neighbouring Gerlos, Konigsleiten, and Wald, creating the Zillertal Arena, the fourth largest ski area in the Tyrol and one of the largest in Austria.  Skiers get good value for money here. The Zillertal Super Ski Pass opens up a vast area of trails served by more than 150 lifts throughout the Ziller Valley including the guaranteed snow trails of the Hintertux Glacier, known as some of the best glacier skiing in the world, as well as free travel on scheduled trains and buses.  Zell am Ziller itself is lift linked to four other ski areas in the Zillertal Arena ski domain.

The package is available Dec. 6 to 20; Jan. 10 to 24; March 21 to April 4; and April 11 to 19, 2009.

Zell is located in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol's beautiful Ziller Valley, which it shares with famous resorts like Mayrhofen and the year-round ski area of the Tux glacier.  The village has a very long history (15th century documentation shows travel advice recommending an inn in Zell even then, and was once a gold mining centre. It is now the main market town of the valley with a well developed year round tourism industry.  Apres ski lovers will be delighted to know the village is home to Austria's oldest private brewery.
