Söll Offers Winter Opening Deals

Söll in the ski welt has announced special package deals for visitors arriving for its ski opening weekend to mark the start of winter. The resort, in the Wilder Kaiser mountains, will be celebrating the new lift connection of the Skiwelt region, of which it is a part, to Westendorf, which is, in turn, linked to Kitzbuhel's ski area. The ski opening revolves around snow, fun, and sounds of the highest quality. The Jungen Zillertaler band start off the opening evening Friday, Dec.12, with hits like "Auf die Brücke Trara" and "Tannenzapfenzupfen." Saturday the mood swings to action on the slopes with Top Ski Tests in Hochsöll, reached by gondola from the village, and live bands raising the temperature in the party tent. These include Frontal, rated Germany's best party band in 2007, and Hermes House band, with hits like "Che Sera Sera" and "I Will Survive" keeping the party rocking.

The action carries on through Sunday, Dec. 14 with Top Ski Tests and music throughout the ski region.

The Winter Opening Package costs from Euro 119 per person and includes two nights' accommodation in a private pension, as well as breakfast. The price also includes a two-day lift pass for the full 250km (157 miles) of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser - Brixental pistes and access to the Ski Test in Hochsöll, as well as entry to Party Tent for evening entertainment. Other packages include Euro 149 per person to stay in a three-star hotel, Euro 169 to stay in a four-star hotel, or Euro 185 in a top-class hotel.
