The British ski industry got together this winter and is offering free skiing for beginners at 27 ski resorts in five countries on selected dates. Different tour operators are offering different resorts, one of the UK's largest operators, Inghams, has packages to Arinsal in Andorra departing on January 17 or 24 January next year. The scheme is the brainchild of the Association of Snowsports Countries.
"Take the plunge this winter and see why so many people take to the slopes. Book your holiday with Inghams and you can learn to ski for free. There is a choice of 27 great resorts that Inghams feature in Andorra, Austria, Finland, France and Switzerland where this no strings attached offer can be found." said resort spokeswoman, Lynsey Devon.
The offer means that first-time skiers receive free lift tickets, free ski rentals and free tuition during their stay - participation is limited to completely new skiers and boarders only and is an attempt to boost new participants in winter sports.
Inghams are offering the Aparthotel Poblado, Arinsal in Andorra, staying in a two room apartment for seven nights from 18th January on a self catering basis with prices starting from £352 per person, based on four people sharing, including flights from Gatwick to Toulouse and resort transfers. Flights are also available from Bristol (for an additional £25), Birmingham (for an additional £25) and Manchester (for an additional £26).
