Les Menuires Hosts Two Events: One For Kids, One For Rockers

Les Menuires/Saint Martin de Belleville is hosting the children's festival Boule de Notes April 9-16, and for older guests, the Full Metal Contest April 2-9.

This year marks the fourth edition of the children's festival, which includes a diverse programme with continuous activities, musical events, fairytales, and shows. There will also be fixed, programmed shows taking place in different neighbourhoods of the resort.

The festivities commence April 10 at 6 p.m. with stilt walkers, choreographed fanfares, shadow puppet shows, and giant marionettes.

The programme continues with shows by Zut troop with their colorful stage performance and Gregor Wollny, a clown, mime, and juggling artist who, without a word, enchants kids and parents alike.

The Full Metal Contest combines freestyle and hard rock with contests by rocker-riders dressed in leather and studded jewelry. This year's music programme includes the Swedish group Crucified Barbara, Dutch group Born From Pain, and French band Nightmare. Admission to the concert is €20.

There will be awards for the best rock costume, rider,  rail trick, big air trick, old school figure, and female rider.

Last year, the event attracted more than 60 riders and 700 metal fans.
