The highest open air concert in the snow "SnowpenAir" takes place on the Klein Scheidegg at 2061 metres, April 9-10.
SnowpenAir 2011 will be held over the weekend with a rock and pop concert Saturday and a hit-parade party Sunday. A top line-up is promised with British pop singer and songwriter, James Blunt, presenting his new album "Some Kind Of Trouble."
Other stars include German rockers The Spider Murphy Gang, the U.S. American band Kool And The Gang, Swiss-dialect singer Marc Trauffer, and DJ Alex the Ski-Hut King.
The hit-parade party Sunday features the Austrian star Hansi Hinterseer. Other top acts appearing ont he stage against the backdrop of the Eiger, Jungfrau, and Monch include Monique, the Hey Mann! band, Markus Woldfahrt, and the Nockalm Quintet.
Sascha Ruefer will present Saturday's concert and will share the stage with Monique Sunday.
Kleine Scheidegg can only be reached by mountain railway. Travel from Interlaken-Ost on the Bernese Oberland Railway (BOB) to Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen, then change to the Wengeralp Railway (WAB) to Kleine Schiedegg.
